DHL division consolidates L.A. operations

DHL Danzas Air & Ocean, part of the logistics division of shipping company DHL, has consolidated all of its Los Angeles operations into one facility.

The new 200,000 square foot facility is located in Redondo Beach, near the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles International Airport, and brings under one roof three facilities — Los Angeles gateway operations; air, ocean and U.S. domestic services; customs brokerage, warehousing and Customer Program Management activities.

The consolidation a key component for DHL as they try to streamline some operations before the busy shipping season around the holidays. The new operation will enables DHL Danzas Air & Ocean to expedite the breakdown, processing, clearance and release of inbound cargo, accelerating the frequency and improving efficiency.
