Schenker standardizes global airfreight services

Schenker?s complete range of airfreight products has been unified under the umbrella of SCHENKERsky, a new global standard. Within the new structure, SCHENKERjetcargo and its service levels first, business and economy deal with time-definite products for general cargo, whereas SCHENKERjetcargo special handles specific commodity groups such as dangerous goods or customized solutions such as on-board couriers.

Schenker offers also special solutions for industry groups: SCHENKERaeroparts systems is a service product specially designed to meet the aerospace industries requirements. SCHENKERmarine parts provides specialized logistics service for ship owners, ship management companies, ship builders and manufacturers.

SCHENKERjetxpress is a newly developed express product for global door-to-door express airfreight services. It completes the portfolio and product range. Real-time tracking and continuous visibility via Schenker?s web based customer information service (CIS) platform is available. This product is already implemented in some European countries and the global roll out will follow within the next few months.

SCHENKERjetcargo fresh ensures the shortest distance between the various markets of the world. Schenker?s transcontinental network guarantees smooth, cost-effective import and export of perishable goods according to even the most stringent time constraints. SCHENKERjetcargo fresh can handle fresh fish, vegetables, fruit or cut flowers with equal efficiency.

The new and unified standard for airfreight products will contribute to more customer satisfaction. “The benefits are obvious to all.
