The Kuehne + Nagel branch in G?rtringen (near Stuttgart) has concluded a long-term logistics partnership contract with leading European polymer sealing solution supplier Busak+Shamban. This significant new business will be implemented over the next five months at the recently completed extension of the Kuehne + Nagel logistics centre in G?rtringen.

Busak+Shamban?s in depth understanding of supply chain management techniques has led to a collaborative partnership being formed with the Kuehne + Nagel Group. Busak+Shamban required a tailor-made warehousing solution for their pan-European, Asian and US-American markets that allowed them to stay in control of their core ?value adding? processes whilst at the same time allowing for the outsourcing of their non core processes.

In a new purpose built extension of the Kuehne + Nagel logistics centre in G?rtringen, this leading edge ?make & buy? strategy will become reality. Kuehne + Nagel has developed a facility that will allow fast and efficient delivery to customers and enhance inventory and process efficiency for Busak+Shamban.
The new logistic centre utilises a 100,000 position ’state of the art’ automated small parts warehouse and leading material handling technology. Incorporated within in the process flow are ?special packaging? and other customer specific de-coupled finishing cells.

Full implementation will see Busak+Shamban working alongside Kuehne + Nagel with each organisation utilising their expertise to ensure that Busak+Shamban not only maintain, but further enhance, their critical competitive edge.
