Financing deal may curtail TNT Logistics acquisition plans

NT Logistics will start marketing a 730 million euro ($947 million) two-part high-yield bond to help fund its acquisition by private equity fund Apollo Management LP.The deal will be split into 430 million euros of eight-year senior notes, callable after four years, and 300 million euros of 10-year senior subordinated notes, callable after five years.

Deutsche Post + Deutsche Bahn = De Big Bucks!

The German coalition government has agreed to sell up to 49 percent of state-owned rail and logistics giant Deutsche Bahn. Deutsche Bahn is the parent company of Schenker and BAX Global. The sale comes after agreeing not to include any of the track in the spin-off, Bloomberg reported. Constitutional rules forbid a sale of more than half the shares in the railway.

Deutsche Post World Net with solid third quarter

Deutsche Post World Net saw a double-digit increase in revenue and earnings in the third quarter. Consolidated revenue rose by 35 percent from 11.028 billion euros to 14.887 billion euros in the period. The integration of logistics service provider Exel and financial service provider BHW as well as organic growth drove this increase.

TNT acquires Golden Share fromDutch State
