TNT Express Sets Up New Customs Brokerage Division for All Inbound Shipments Entering Canada

TNT Express has launched a new customs brokerage division for international shipments entering Canada. The unit will offer Canadian companies advice and assistance on all aspects of tariff classification and schedules, duty advancement, valuation rulings and duty and tax determination.

The division will also help to ensure fast and accurate clearance of all import shipments, via a direct electronic connection to local customs authorities and other government agencies, TT said. TNT Express is the express delivery arm of TNT N.V., the Netherlands-based mail and express company. It delivers 4.1m parcels, documents and pieces of freight each week to more than 200 countries, calling on a network of more than 1,200 depots, hubs and sortation centers. The division operates more than 23,400 road vehicles and 44 aircraft, according to TNT.
